Assists electronics and telecommunications trades workers to install and maintain electronics and telecommunications systems.Tasks
Assisting with building, testing, repairing and modifying electronic components, parts, equipment and systems.Assisting technicians with the layout and assembly procedures and problems of electronic units.
Undertaking basic installation procedures.
Setting up standard test equipment to test circuitry.
Adjusting, calibrating, aligning, and modifying circuitry and components and recording their effects on unit performance.
Testing the functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
