Description
Loads and unloads baggage, directs planes, positions stair cases, fills aircraft fuel tanks and performs other aircraft ground services to ensure aircraft run efficiently.Tasks
Collecting, sorting and checking luggage against flight lists and ensuring items are allocated to the correct aircraft.Transporting baggage and cargo around the airport to required destinations.
Loading and unloading passenger baggage, air mail, air express and air cargo shipments (including animals and perishables) on and off planes and helicopters.
Using trucks, forklifts, baggage carts, tractors and conveyors to transport baggage and to load and unload aircraft in a safe and cautious manner.
Operating and placing mobile stairs against aircraft to permit passengers to board or disembark the aircraft.
Checking priority baggage and assigning baggage to the correct carousel for passenger collection.
Loading inbound luggage and priority baggage onto conveyor or carousel systems in the arrivals hall for passenger collection.
