Description
Assists photographers in taking and developing photographs.Tasks
Making a technical assessment of photographing sites in advance, checking for vehicle access, power and communications facilities.Organising transport, catering and accommodation and other resources needed for a photo shoot.
Transporting equipment to sets, preparing sets, checking that all equipment is functioning properly, setting up lighting and accessories, taking meter readings.
Loading film and handing freshly loaded backs to the photographer, logging the shot film, numbering the rolls, and keeping track of frames in a non-digital environment.
Downloading compact flash cards, organising images as they’re shot, cataloguing and optimising digital files, scanning film and assisting with image manipulation and enhancement.
Transmitting files and transporting film or prints to and from laboratories, printing photographs as required.
Assisting with the general administration of a photography studio, keeping records of the film stock, exposures, lighting set-ups, as well as the names and details of art directors, models, stylists, animal handlers and other resources.
